Pink Catches - 160 Years of Banks Rowing Club
The history of Banks Rowing Club is planned for launch later this year. With over 300 pages, including full colour pictures, the hardcover book will standout on any coffee table. The narrative traces the history of the Club from its beginnings in 1866, and the people who made the Club. Appendices will provide all the Club’s facts and figures. Pink Catches has been the all-consuming project of Chris Shinners and Terry Rankin. Around 50 Members have been interviewed to understand and capture the essence of the Club. Annual reports, meeting minutes and other documents have also provided a valuable insight into the people and events since the Club’s beginnings.
The production of the book will be a costly exercise, and whilst it will be available for general purchase on release, the Club is seeking early support through subscription donations which will be recognised in the book. Please see the attached: Banks History Donation Link
