Australian Rowing Championships - Results Day 6 and Day 7 Draw

Day 6 of raciing saw:

The crew of Sam Oostendorp, Dom Frederico (Mercantile), Harry Cathcart and Tom Hastings (Barwon) coached by Tom Creber led from the start to score an all the way win in the Open Mens Lighweight Coxless Four.

Rosie Popa came a very close in the Open  Womens Eight.

The Club Mens Double Scull of Bowan Hafey came 6th in the Semi Final, but did not progress to the Fiinal.

In the University Mens Sprint Eight over 500 metres the Banks / Mercantile crew including George Derham, Lachlan Szigeter, Nick Szigeter, James Gardiner, James Meads, Tony Lee and Zoe Kral (cox)came a very close 2nd.

The crew of Nick Szigeter, Tom Radda, Bowan Hafey and James Gardiner came 6th in the Final of the MU23 Mens Quadruple Sculls.

 

Banks will be represented in racing on Sunday 28 March, as follows:

  • 10.00am - Club Mens Coxless Four (Lane 4)
  • 12.00pm - Club Mens Eight (Lane 6)
  • 1.40pm - Womens Interstate Single Scull (The Adamson representing WA in Lane 3)
  • 2.30pm - Mens Interstate Lightweight Four (Harry Cathcart and Sam Osstendorp, with Coach Tom Creber representing Victoria in Lane 6)
  • 3.05pm - Mens Interstae Eight for the Kings Cup (past members Tim Masters and Ben Coombs representing Victoria in Lane 2)
  • 3.20pm - Womens Interstate Eight for the Queens Cup (Rosie Popa representing Victoria in Lane 3)
