Australian Rowing Championships – Day 4 Results

The wind dropped slightly overnight to provide some welcome relief to the early small boat finalists before building back up again at Lake Nagambie on day four of the 2022 Australian Rowing Championships.

The results for Banks were as follows:

Men U21 Single Scull – B Final - Mark Putter was drawn into the unfavourable lane 7. It was always going to be very difficult for Mark and he finished in 6thplace and 12thoverall – well done Mark

Mens Open Single Scull – B Final – James Meads was redrawn into lane 4 and pushed all the way to the line coming home in 3rdplace and 9thoverall – well done James

Womens U21 Lightweight Single Scull - B Final – It was particularly tough conditions for the lightweight scullers and Erica Smith battled on well to finish 5thand 11thoverall.

Womens U23 Lightweight Single Scull – B Final – Ant Di Cosmo had a good battle with her fellow Victorian representative and came 4thg and 10thoverall. Well done Ant.

Men U23 Lightweight Single Scull – A Final. Nick Szigeter was drawn reasonably well in lane 4 and came home strongly over the second 1,000 metres to grab 3rdplace and the Bronze Medal – very well done Nick

Mens Open Lightweight Singe Scull – B Final Harry Cathcart did well in the B Final to come 3rdand 9thoverall.

Mens Open Lightweight Coxless Pair – Final – Sam Oostendorp and Guy Velik drew lane 4. It was always going to be tough against Barwon and Toowong who had lanes 2 and 3. Nevertheless Sam & Guy raced well to finish 3rdand win the Bronze Medal – Very well done Sam & Guy

Womens PR3 Single Scull Final – Susannah Lutze raced well in lane for to come 4th– well done Susannah.

Womens Club Double Scull – Heat – Ainsley Raggatt and Erica Smith raced extremely well to win their heat and advance directly to the Final

Mens Club Double Scull – Heat – James Meads and Mark Putter also had a comfortable win in their heat and advanced directly to the Final.
