Australian Rowing Championships – Day 2 Results

The results for Banks were as follows:

Men U21 Single Scull - Mark Putter came 2ndin his Repechage in a good time and advanced to the Semi-Final on Wednesday

Mens U23 Single Scull - Marcus Cain overcame a slow first 1,000 metres to power home in his Repechage to finish 4thand just miss out on the Semi-Final by 1.68 seconds

Mens Open Single Scull - With a field largely comprising National Training Centre athletes, James Meads came 2ndin the Repechage and advanced to the Semi-Final on Wednesday.

Womens U21 Lightweight Single Scull - Erica Smith came 3rd in her Heat and advanced directly to the Semi-Final.

Womens U23 Lightweight Single Scull - Antonietta Di Cosmo faced a difficult assignment to come 3rdor better in her Repechage to qualify for the Final. After a tough battle Ant ended up coming came 4thand therefore progressed to the B Final (for places 7-12)

Mens Open Lightweight Single Scull – Likewise Harry Cathcart also faced a difficult assignment in his Repechage. Against seasoned scullers Harry came 5thand progressed to the B Final (for places 7-12).

PR3 Womens Single Scull – Susannah Lutze raced very well in her Heat and came 2ndby just 3.24 seconds. Hopefully Susannah can go one better in the Final.

Mens U23 Double Scull - In what was a race for lanes for the Final, Marcus Cain and James Gardiner of MUBC came 5th.

Mens Open Lightweight Double Scull – Sam Oostendorp and Nick Szigeter combined well to come second of 5 crews in the Heat in what was also a race for lanes for the Final.
